One Thing Have I Asked...

that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple. For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the LORD. (Psalm 27:4-6 )

Better is One Day
How lovely is Your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty. For my soul longs and even faints for You.
For here my heart is satisfied within Your presence. I sing beneath the shadow of Your wings.

Better is one day in Your courts, better is one day in Your house,
Better is one day in Your courts than thousands elsewhere.

One thing I ask and I would seek: to see Your beauty, to find You in the place Your glory dwells.
One thing I ask and I would seek: to see Your beauty, to find You in the place Your glory dwells.

My heart and flesh cry out for You, the living God.
Your spirit's water to my soul. I've tasted and I've seen.
Come once again to me. I will draw near to You, I will draw near to You.

*****Our church service this morning was so encouraging and beautiful!! The music and message were great~ It was just what I needed after a busy week!! I just thought I would share some of my favorite parts!!

Because He Lives
God sent His Son; they called Him Jesus. He came to love, heal and forgive. He bled and died to buy my pardon. An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives. Because He lives I can face tomorrow. Because He lives all fear is gone. Because I know He holds the future and life is worth the living just because He lives. How sweet to hold a newborn baby and feel the pride and joy he gives. But greater still the calm assurance this child can face uncertain days because He lives.
**This is one of my favorite hymns~ it was so dear and precious to me during the storm of life that was Will's open heart surgery. I would sing it to him while rocking him. Everyday I sang it, just to keep going!!

"Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgements are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O LORD. How precious is your steadfast love, O God!! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light." (Psalm 36:5-9)

God Bless You and Yours This Week!! :)
