Exciting!

There has been a lot of excitement in the air around here recently!!
1. Alabama won the National Championship!! Words cannot express how excited I am about that!! We had friends over to watch the game!! We ate fried turkeys, cheese grits, red velvet cupcakes, brownies, black eyed pea dip, etc. We all laughed, screamed and almost had a nervous break down- but a lot of fun!! Roll Tide Roll!!
2. We had a Snow Day (but without the snow)!! :)
3. Will played his first Basketball Game!! He did a great job!! I am a proud Mommy!!
4. Will also got to go to a friend's birthday party~ which was at the Monster Truck Rally!! Good Times!!

One Word-

Peace! My hope and prayer for 2010 is for Christ's peace to saturate me!! This was also my theme during December~ it seemed like everywhere I turned I saw the word "peace". It was strange to me, because December and "peace" do not go together in my book! I think the Lord wanted to prove me otherwise, though. I am praying He will continue to work His peace within me this new year!! The other day I came across this excerpt from a devotional ~It was just what I had been needing to hear~ such encouragement!

"...receive My Peace. This is still your deepest need, and I, your Prince of Peace, long to pour Myself into your neediness. My abundance and your emptiness are a perfect match. I designed you to have no sufficiency of your own. I created you as a jar of clay, set apart for sacred use. I want you to be filled with My very Being, permeated through and through with Peace. My Peace, which lives continually in your spirit, will gradually work its way through your entire being." (Jesus Calling)

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubles and do not be afraid." John 14:27

Have a Peaceful New Year!!!

Christmas Blessings!

I always dread December, I am not a Scrooge, it's just usually this month finds us on the brink of financial ruin and I always get worried about how everything will come together!! God is so faithful, though!! He knows what he is doing and He has planned it all out, even when I haven't! We were showered with more blessings than I can believe!! He went beyond the imaginable for us and I am extremely humbled and thankful!!

An amazing blessing in December was that Clint and I celebrated 10 years of marriage!! We had a really special anniversary- complete with jewelry (for me)and a couples massage!! It was so wonderful!!

Wonderful Weekend!

This was a fantastic weekend!! I am sad to see it come to an end!! We had so much fun watching Alabama kick Tim Tebow's butt!! It was a great game and yes, I was shocked!! I never imagined we would lead the whole game, but I am happy we did!! It was awesome!! All season long- I rooted for anyone playing Florida- I wanted someone to beat them, but no one could!! I am glad now that they saved Florida for us!! Yay Alabama!!

On a completly different note- our church service was amazing!! Every time I enter the church doors the love of God just wraps around me and He speaks to me through every detail in the service!! It such a special time to me personally!! God is so good! I am so grateful for his mercy and love!! I took a few Christmas pics of the kids in front of the church today too (our church is just as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside) and they did a great job... I have a few favs to share!! Nana is so sweet- she got the kids some Christmas outfits for just such and occasion!! The pictures look great!!

Peace

These are a few of my favorite ornaments/decorations!! I love to get out all of our Christmas decorations, each one holds such precious memories....

*I am trying to grasp this concept of peace in this season of hustle and bustle!! The kids are growing up so fast and I don't want to waste any energy being worn out and stressed during this holiday!! I pray for God's peace to invade my heart so I can enjoy my family and focus on the reason we have this season in the first place!

*We got this angel on our Honeymoon in Asheville, NC!! I can't believe in 6 days it will be 10 years!!

*This ball ornament was given to me by my class the year that Francie was born!! They were such a special group, so sweet!!

*My mom gave me this really beautiful Waterford snowman for Christmas a few years ago!! I collect snowmen and this one is gorgeous!! I love it!!

*These two are my absolute favorites-most valuable snowmen in my collection!! They are also a gift from my mom!! They are Swaravoski crystal and so cute!

*Birki gave me this one in my stocking one year!! It sits on my front table so I see him first when I come home! He is so adorable, I love his red and he has a little sparkle too!

*This one is from Birki too!! He is so delicate looking- he looks hand made and like he would come from White Flowers!! I love his reminder too!

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." John 14:27
