This was a fantastic Mother's Day!! It started on Friday- Will's class had a Mother's Day Luncheon!! It was so sweet and loving!! Each first grader made their mom a picture frame magnet! They had us a rose and the children made our plates and served us! Also, the highlight of the luncheon is when each child reads a love note to their mom on stage! They also drew a picture of their mom!! I always think Will is so big- but when you see and hear he and his friends read their little love notes to their mom you realize that they're still little (which I am completely glad about)!! Will wrote about how he liked me because "I make him proud!!" Too Cute!! It was really so special- I will treasure that time with Will forever!!
Then on Saturday morning my fam gave me some much needed "Me" time!! I went to get my toes done- which was so luxurious!! Always a mom favorite!! After that we had a picnic at Star Lake and fed the geese!! My sweet kiddos got me ferns and flowers for the front porch and a beautiful wreath made of lavender!! I love it and the porch was needing some love too!
Sunday we went to my sisters house to celebrate with my mom!! We just ate and laughed and laughed and ate!! Dinner at Birki's house closed out the Mother's Day weekend!! It was a wonderful time!! This weekend made me remember how blessed I am to have such a loving family!
Mom, thanks for all you have done and continue to do for me!! You are the best mom anyone could have and my goal is to one day be as great as you!! I love you for always being there for me and for your encouragement and smiles!! You are a light!! So I'm taking this chance to say that I had the Best Day with you yesterday!! I love you!
