Keep On Trucking- I mean DANCING!

Francie started dance class yesterday (pre-ballet and tap)!! She was so excited!! I think I'm just as excited! She looked absolutely adorable in her leotard and tights!! Her teacher is so nice and she met two new little friends!! I just hope we can keep taking and still be able to eat! ;) (It can be a bit costly!!)


I can remember taking dance when I was her age. I loved it!! I remember feeling extra special on the night of my recital- I can even remember parts of the dance!! I used to love to dress up in the costumes! I had a belly dancer costume and a clown costume I wore in my recitals! Later when I was in college Clint and I took dancing lessons at Fred Astaire! It was so much fun!! Dancing is good for the soul!


I love having a little girl! I love pink tights and ballet slippers and tutus and hair in buns and shiny tap shoes with ties! I cherish this time with her!! I'm looking forward to sharing these special times with her and giving her this experience!! I love to see her smile and her eyes light up!! She is a sweetie!!

Go Bama!!!

I was so excited Friday, Clint told me he had been given 2 tickets to the first home game for Alabama!! I had not been to a game in five years!! We had so much fun!! It was a wonderful day! I got my picture made with Big Al and in front of the Bear statue!! We couldn't get any closer because so many people were waiting in line! It was hotter than I had expected- but at least it didn't rain!! It was so nice to have some alone time with my Sweetie (it took me back in time -like when we dated- we would always take road trips- we listened to my old playlists that Clint had made me in college)-It was a perfect date!! Most importantly~ Alabama won!! GO BAMA!!

Yay!! Alabama!!!

A few things on my heart:



1. I am very excited Clint finished his Master's in History!! It came this past week in the mail (proof that we did it)!! He worked so hard!! I love him so much and I think he is brilliant!! I know God has big plans for him!!














2. Hooray for Alabama!! The first game of the year was so exciting- I nearly passed out a couple of times during the game!! I am very proud of them for winning!! I love college football or really Alabama football!! We made red velvet cupcakes (red and white), ate barbeque, and just had so much fun!!





























3. Long weekends aren't long enough!!




4. I am so happy that our small group has started back!! We met on Wednesday and I have to say I love it!! We missed last semester because of all of Clint's schooling- and it is good to be back!! All of our friends are just the best and I feel blessed to be part of the group!!




5. My class this year is precious!! I am grateful to have my job and I am enjoying this year so much, so far!! I pray it will continue!!

We Did It!!

It came and it's gone!! The first day of school!! We just finished/survived our first full week of school!! It was great! I am hoping and praying that this year is going to be more wonderful than I can imagine!! I need a really nice, sweet year and so far it looks good!! My class is small! HOORAY! And they are very cute and sweet!! Will is loving second grade!! Francie is loving 4k with Mrs. Moore!! I feel very blessed to have my job and I am handing it over to God, who has not forgotten me!

We are still getting used to our earlier schedule!! It's a real change now getting up at 5:00 in the morning instead of 10:00!! I've been getting up easier this year though, because of my hope that this year is going to be much better than last year! We've even been getting to school early instead of late- It's a Miracle!! :) This is how we look and feel when we get home!! In the words of Will "school wears me out"!!

Nap Time!!

The other day I walked in Francie's room and found this:




Francie has always loved to play with her "babies"! Her favorite thing to do is to lay them on their "nappers" and have them rest! I guess nap time has made an impact on her! She'll turn off her light and shut her door!! She'll ask all of us to be quiet so her babies can nap!! It is so cute!! I love her!! She is a sweet little momma!!

Boy Time!!

It's Francie's turn to go to Nana's house to have some "girl time" which means Will and I had "boy time"!! They are very different!! This time instead of painting nails and playing dolls, we did manly things like shaving!! :) We also played video games, basketball, roller-bladed (Will NOT me), and watched a motocross movie!! There was a lot of action and we had so much fun!! We went shopping to get a prize- Will got a Bionicle!! And to top off the whole adventure we met our friends Ms. Angie and her son Ammon for breakfast at Chick-fil-A this morning!! The boys played in that play area for over an hour!! We had a great time (I'm still wondering why we didn't meet them for breakfast more during the summer- next summer it is a must)!! I didn't get any pics of them because I left my camera at home! BOOHOO!



It was a very special time! Will is growing up so fast and I know it won't be long before he doesn't even want "boy time"!! I am treasuring this time with him!! He is such an amazing child- so sweet and tough!! He loves adventure and is excited about everything in life!! I love him so much!!

Hip, Hip Hooray!!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!! I have a job!! I will be back at SMCS with Will and Francie and all our friends!! I got the call late last week- but better late than never!! Really, it helped my attitude about going back to school to not know whether or not I would be able to- because now instead of crying, I am so excited to have a job I can't wait to get started!! I truly am grateful to be at SMCS! I am praying this will be a wonderful year!! We only have 7 days left of summer (teachers have to go back a week before the kids)! This summer was amazing!! I got to be a bum the whole time and it was great!! It helps to have a break when you are teaching and I am blessed to have been able to enjoy this time!! I feel much more refreshed than I have in a long time!
