Bud's Best Cookies!

I meant to post this earlier but we have had the CRAZIEST week ever! I was sick- Oh so very sick with the throw up virus and then Francie got it too!! Poor thing! It was one of the busier weeks at school too, with Teddy Bear Sleepover and our Valentine's Party!! Francie missed the Teddy Bear Sleepover!! She'll have next year though, I just feel bad because she also was sick on the 100th day of school celebration! She has missed all the fun days of school!
We did make it to her field trip Monday before all the yucky tummy trouble! Her class went to Bud's Best Cookie Factory!! It was soooo fun!! We rode a little train through the factory and we got to eat warm nilla wafers!! It was great! My favorite part has to be the lovely hairnets we got to wear! Ha! :)

I'm In the Mood for Love!!

I am so glad January is over! I mean nothing terribly bad happened or anything- it's just we're closer to the end of winter!! I am really NOT a winter gal! There are just too many clouds and not enough sunshine!! The sunshine helps my mood and my outlook on life! Also, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Valentine's, not just the day, everything!! The red and pink cards, flowers, balloons, shirts, shoes, plates, cups, napkins, dish and hand towels, welcome mats, rugs, and I love the chocolate candy and hearts and jewelry and sweetness and hugs and kisses and romance! I love it all!! As I was getting a little too excited about February I realized that this Valentine's Day will be mine and Clint's fourteenth one we've celebrated together!! I cannot believe it!! And I am amazed that the time has gone by so fast, but I am without a doubt the luckiest girl to have my true love, my real- life Prince Charming everyday! I remember our very first Valentine's Day together and also, one where we started the tradition of driving to the beach to eat at Captain Dave's and watch the sunset!! Whether we go extravagant or simple it's still as magical and special as when we were 19 years old and falling in love! We've had so many, many perfectly wonderful times together! So I pulled out some old pics of us dating!! They aren't real great, these are just pictures of pictures (back then we didn't have digital stuff)!!

The Day My Life Changed Forever!!

**My Favorite Picture Ever!!

January 16, 2002 was such a wonderful/ scary day!! I'll never forget the birthday of my baby Will!! He came into this world with a bang~ a bang that shot my heart wide open!! He gave us quite a scare with the whole platelet thing- then the whole open heart surgery trama- there was actually a time I was very unsure if we would even have our baby Will for eight years or even eight months!! But God sent his angels to be with Will 8 years ago and they haven't left our side!! I am so thankful for that day and each day since!! Will has been such a delight!! He was the most incredibly adorable baby!! And he is STILL the most incredibly adorable eight year old boy!! I didn't think I could love him more than I did on that day~ but I am amazed I love him exponetially more every day!! He is such a smart, funny, strong, sweet, wild, handsome, silly, rough and tough boy!! Happy Birthday Will!! These have been the best eight years of my life!!

Exciting!

There has been a lot of excitement in the air around here recently!!
1. Alabama won the National Championship!! Words cannot express how excited I am about that!! We had friends over to watch the game!! We ate fried turkeys, cheese grits, red velvet cupcakes, brownies, black eyed pea dip, etc. We all laughed, screamed and almost had a nervous break down- but a lot of fun!! Roll Tide Roll!!
2. We had a Snow Day (but without the snow)!! :)
3. Will played his first Basketball Game!! He did a great job!! I am a proud Mommy!!
4. Will also got to go to a friend's birthday party~ which was at the Monster Truck Rally!! Good Times!!

It's Going to be a Cold Week! Don't Forget To...

One Word-

Peace! My hope and prayer for 2010 is for Christ's peace to saturate me!! This was also my theme during December~ it seemed like everywhere I turned I saw the word "peace". It was strange to me, because December and "peace" do not go together in my book! I think the Lord wanted to prove me otherwise, though. I am praying He will continue to work His peace within me this new year!! The other day I came across this excerpt from a devotional ~It was just what I had been needing to hear~ such encouragement!

"...receive My Peace. This is still your deepest need, and I, your Prince of Peace, long to pour Myself into your neediness. My abundance and your emptiness are a perfect match. I designed you to have no sufficiency of your own. I created you as a jar of clay, set apart for sacred use. I want you to be filled with My very Being, permeated through and through with Peace. My Peace, which lives continually in your spirit, will gradually work its way through your entire being." (Jesus Calling)

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubles and do not be afraid." John 14:27
