Last Five Question Friday & The Big Closet Reveal!!

Well, I guess this will be the last 5 Question Friday for the summer~ I really won't be able to be that on top of the whole blogging bit when school starts!! I mean- I'll try my best!!


1. Did you have a favorite blanket or toy as a kid? If so, do you still have it? No, I didn't have a blankie or a stuffed animal that I just HAD to sleep with or have with me at all times!! My Will was attached to his binky and he has "Beary" that my grandmother gave him- he likes to snuggle with him at night!! My Francie has a blankie with a silky edge that she likes to rub when she is falling asleep!!


2. Do you dream in color? Very much so!! My dreams are so vibrant and real!! I don't like to dream though, because I always have weird dreams and they affect me emotionally!! So I always wake up sad, mad, scared, worried, etc.~ not a very good start each morning!! However, I did dream that Clint and I won a free vacation to Hawaii last night!! :) So that was a great dream, but still not fun to wake up and find out that it was JUST A DREAM!! :(


3. How tall are you? Do you wish you were shorter or taller? I am 5'3"! I always thought of myself as short!! I would definitely take longer legs over big boobs if wishes could come true!! But I wouldn't want to be too tall~ just average I guess~ maybe 5'6" or 5'7"~ but with long legs!!


4. If you could have anyone's (celeb or other) voice as the guide on your GPS, who would it be? I would love to have Ewan McGregor because of his Scottish accent (I think it's Scottish) or Mary Poppins or someone with an Austrailian accent like Crocodile Dundee!!


5. Do you return your shopping cart to the corral or leave it wherever in the parking lot? It depends... if the cart corral is close I don't mind returning it, but if it's too far- I'm just too lazy to run around the whole parking lot!! Sorry!! :(

Now onto the- clean and organize the closet project for the summer!!
(I am a little embarrassed that my closet got THIS out of hand)!! It had really gotten so bad you could hardly walk in the "walk in" closet!! When I did get it all straightened up I couldn't believe my closet was so BIG!! I really need to paint and get a few more organizational baskets and stuff- but I don't have an extra $50 to spend for closet clean up- so this will just have to do for now! TADA!! ;)

A week ago~ I turned 33!! Wow!! I can't believe it!! Some days I feel older than thirty-three and some days I feel younger~ it's amazing how fast time has flown by~ I must be having a lot of fun!! ;) Thinking back... twenty years ago I was just becoming a teenager! Yuck! I wouldn't go back for anything!! ...Ten years ago I was a newlywed!! I had been married a little over 6 mos!! (Now I would go back there) ;) !! ...Five years ago I was preggers with a baby girl and getting IVs every week!! ****Yep!! I've been having A LOT of fun!!

*Selena Gomez and I share the same first name and the same birthday (July 22nd)!!

*I don't like taking my two babies to the doctor for check-ups with shots!! Will got 2 and Francie got 5!! It was pretty bad! :(

*Brownies and vanilla ice cream help you feel better if you get shots!!

*I want the new Jonas Brothers CD!! I love me some Jonas Brothers!! ;)

*I LOVE school supplies!! I get more excited than the kids about it!! Crayons, markers, folders, pencils and pens, notebooks and glue!! I just love how everything smells and it's all clean and shiny and new! I can't wait to buy them!!

*We have a new 3rd grade teacher at school!! I can't wait to meet her!! I wonder if Will will get her this year!

*Getting sad that Noah and Anna won't be at SMCS this year!

*There may be a sign at Alabama Adventure that says "Show off your ugliest body part"!!

*I can't wait til the new Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam comes on tv!!

*Only five more days to chill before I have to go back to school!! Yuck!

*Still have to check~ read more, see a movie at the Alabama Theatre, finish cleaning and organizing my closet, see Karate Kid, and lay in the sun ~off my summer list!

*It's hard to sleep when you have a terribly bad sunburn!

Finally, I got the blog looking better!! And it's new!! It is still hard for me to change~ I don't like to have to change!! But it won't be long and I'll love this and be used to it! Well more random questions from Five Question Friday!!


1. What were your school colors? Green and gold!! Go Pelham Panthers! SMCS has green and gold for school colors too!! Go Eagles!! Behind crimson and white, green and gold are the best school colors!! ;)

2. What's the best compliment you ever received? I am really hard on myself so I don't ever remember many compliments!! I am too busy ripping myself a new one!! I know, I know, I can't help it~ it's my fatal flaw!!

3. Do you buy cheap or expensive toilet paper? I really don't factor in cost, I just by what I like best which happens to be Charmin Ultra Soft (I don't know if it is expensive or not)!! I feel really weird sharing that!! TMI!

4. Have you ever had a surprise party thrown for you? Or have you had one for someone else? Yes, it was either my fourteenth or fifteenth birthday!! The highlights I remember are... swimming pool, ruby earrings, skating rink!! It was a lot of fun and I remember feeling really special that my friends and family would plan something for little ol' me!!

5. What is one material possession that you "can't live without"? I know this sounds so strange, but I absolutely LOVE my robe!! Clint gave it to me for christmas and it just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside and out!!

Things That Make Me Smile plus One Thing That Doesn't!

This background here at Cvachoworld. blogspot is NOT making me smile! My background was going to run out and so I had to erase it, but before I could get a new one, that website was not running~ it's shut down for now! So, I'm stuck with this setup~ I'm not thrilled, but at least the background name is New Moon!! ;) That's about all it's got going for it though, soon I'll be re-doing this!! Anyway, here are a few things making me smile!!

Two Weeks from Today I'll be at School! BOO HOO!!

1. My new favorite snack just might have to be the new pretzel M&M's!! Delish!!

2. Francie and I both need a haircut~ seriously it's been too long!!

3. We saw "How to Train Your Dragon" on Friday with all the cousins!! I LOVED it!! It's definitely a keeper! I will buy it when it comes out on DVD!! :)

4. I just bought "The Phantom of the Opera"~ hopefully I will get to watch it tonight!!

5. It's Monday! :( YUCK!!!!!

More Questions!!

Five questions Friday again!! Wow! I know all three of you are just dying to get my answers! Ha! ;) I can't believe it's already been a whole week! It seems like the end of summer is rushing up on us!! Boo Hoo!!

1. Do you collect anything? Yes, I collect snowmen!! I just love them!! They are so cute~ I only display them for Christmas, though!!

2. Name 3 celebrities that you find good looking. Joaquin Phoenix has always been one of my favorite~ I just love his whole carefree vibe!! Russell Crowe~ a very manly man!! And of course, being the twi-hard I am, I have to say Rob Pattinson!! ;)

3. Do you have any scars? If so, what's the story behind it (them?)? I have the normal scars~ one from riding my bike and one from jumping off the bed! And then I have a kind of funny one on the middle finger of my left hand! I actually got it from buttoning a child's pants at school one day~ the pants were a little too tight! :)

4. What is a food that you like to eat, but others might think it's gross or weird?
I really don't have a food I like that's weird or gross, I'm kind of a picky eater! I do like to dip my french fries in my frosty from Wendy's!

5. Have you ever seen a tornado in real life? No, PTL, I have never seen tornado in real life! I hope I never get to!

~ A few nights ago I made a Paula Deen special for dinner! I had been in the mood for a meatloaf! I know, weird!! But Clint doesn't like meatloaf and Will and Francie really don't either! Anyway, I had seen her show and saw her make a meatloaf I thought everyone would love! It is called the Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf!! And everyone DID love it~ it was delicious!! You HAVE to try it!! (you can find the recipe on her website)

~ Sonic has one-topping sundaes for 99 cents after 8pm!! What a great treat!! You must go get one! :)

It is Finished!!

Well, I did it, I cannot believe I did it!! It really wasn't bad at all~ I hate that I've wasted all this time not starting/finishing this table when it was really easy!! I think it turned out great~ I love it!! Will also commented that I "smelled like Daddy" when I came in from finishing the table!! WOW! That's saying something~ I mean the man works landscape from 7-4 everyday in 96 degrees! That's one project down and about a million more to go!:)

Wondering Whether Wednesday!!

I'm wondering if today is a good day to start one of the many projects that NEED to get finished before summer is over!! The project in question is one I've wanted to do since we moved into this house, 2 1/2 years ago! I have been wanting to paint this little kitchen table black with a cherry finish on the top- my kitchen is black and white- I adore black and white- I have to fight the urge to decorate the WHOLE house, every room, in it!!! Easy enough said, but too lazy to get done around here!! However, I just may think today is the day~ as long as it doesn't rain!! :) Clint and I went this past weekend to get the supplies and now I'm super pumped to get-er-done!! This is the table before!! Hopefully, not to far from now, there will be a post of the after picture!!

Cousins!!

Lately, we have gotten to have a little fun with our cousins!! It's so nice to have a close family~ our kids can play together and know each other!! Friday my sister came over and the kids had fun in the little pool! They ate lunch and played and laughed and fought and played!! It was good to see everybody!! Then Saturday Clint's cousins came over to his Grandmother's house and everyone visited and played and ate lunch AND chocolate pie and laughed!! It was great!! :)





















































Saturday night Clint and I got to see She & Him live at Sloss Furnace!! I had never been to a show there but it was so magical really, perfect!! The only kind of creepy thing was we had to walk by "dead man's alley"! There was no dead man this time though! Years ago when Clint worked at Kenworth, they had seen a dead man in this same alley and the cops were poking him to see if he was ok! He wasn't! Anyway, it was a wonderful night~ so relaxing and summery!! (You know, the "she" in the band is the girl from Elf)!! She is so cute and tiny! But I don't have a picture, because the security made me leave my camera in the car! Boo Hoo!! Clint did get one with his phone, but it's not that good! :(




Then, yesterday we had a bit more cousin fun!! We went bowling!! We had not been the whole summer- even though we have the free passes!! It was so much fun!! Again with the laughing, playing, eating, fighting, and generally a great afternoon!! ;) We just had to have a Edgar's visit before we went home and it was just like a cherry on top!!

1. What is one food you could eat everyday? I could probably eat cupcakes/cake everyday! I have a major sweet tooth~ I'm sure you've noticed the 10lbs I gained this school year!! It's becoming more of a problem since I am getting older~ I have to watch out eating all my favorites (sugar)!! Gone are the days that I could eat whatever I wanted!! BOO HOO!! :(


2. Are you working in the career you thought you would be when you were 18? I think so, I can't really remember when I decided to teach!! Earlier in high school I was going to be a business woman so I could carry a briefcase and wear high heels every day with a suit!! Ha!!


3. What is something that you wish you would have done when you were younger and you didn't? I kind of wish I would have gone to Europe again my senior year! They were going to London that year and it would have been awesome!! But my sweet parents had already sent me to Paris the year before and that would have been a lot!!


4. What color are your kitchen walls? It is like a light brown/ dark tan color that is in most of the house!


5. Do you remember what your very first favorite song was? I want to say it was probably by Janet Jackson!! Maybe it was "Nasty Boys"! Ha!! I remember we had that tape and we would dance outside in the breezeway to Janet Jackson, Madonna, or Cyndi Lauper!!

Worn Out Wednesday!!

NOT THEM- ME!!!!!!
It's no secret I've been in quite a FuNk since we came back from the mountains! Partly it's because our vacation is over and partly it's because we have had several friends pass away in the past two weeks (one 16 year old student from SMCS, a dear friend that I work with, and my best friend's father)!! It's partly, too, that Clint's grandmother is moving to Scottsboro to live with her son, Clint's uncle, she needs 24hour care! She is the most amazing woman~ she is 91 years old and lived by herself~ but she will be greatly missed (that's the understatement of the year)! AND Will got a throat virus! Thankfully it wasn't strep again! I just feel WORN OUT or in other words sad!! I am really not doing much of anything- except staying in my pajamas all day!! I don't feel like going anywhere or seeing anyone (one of my fatal flaws- whenever I get to feeling bad or like I have no control, anxious, I tend to withdraw to myself)! ***Sorry about the going off!! Sometimes it's nice just to get everything off my chest!!
Hopefully, I can get back into the swing of the summer, I am excited that my sister is coming to visit on Friday and Saturday night Clint and I have a date to see She & Him live at Sloss Furnace!!

























Anyway, today we broke out the swimming pool Nana got Will and Francie!! (We are moving up in the world sprinklers to a pool)!! Granddaddy was our hero, though, he came over to help me figure out how to blow the sucker up!! Eventually he took the kids to target and he got an electric pump!! Thanks Dad!! You are the BEST!! The kids had so much fun!! Seriously, it would have taken 2 weeks to blow that up with my breath or even using the bicycle pump!!























These two are so cute!! They will be playing a game and if one of them scores or does something good they will hug and hug!! I asked Will why they keep doing this and he said it's what they do in soccer! We've been watching just a "little" bit of the World Cup this summer!! ;) They kiss the ball too, sometimes when playing ball games (also what they picked up from World Cup Soccer)! Ha! :)

Happy Birthday America!

This was a great Fourth of July!! Even though the Fourth is one of my most favorite holidays we really don't have a tradition!! Every year it's something different! We've had cookouts at my house, we've gone to the Baron's games for the Fourth, we've gone to Homewood to watch Thunder on the Mountain... this year we went to our friends' house (over here in Fairfield) for a cookout and to shoot fireworks!! It was really so exciting and so much fun! There were about 10-12 kids and they played so good together, we laughed and talked and ate and enjoyed each others company! We had our own "Thunder in Fairfield" fireworks show!! :) I could definantly see this becoming a wonderful tradition!
